The coalition is set to win a clear victory over Labor in the federal election and could get a landslide-winning boost from Palmer United Party preferences, the latest Morgan poll shows.
On a two-party preferred basis the coalition is on 53.5 per cent compared with Labor on 46.5 per cent, the poll, conducted from September 4-6 shows.
The ALP primary vote is 31.5 per cent compared to the coalition on 44 per cent, the poll of 4937 voters found.
Support for the Australian Greens is at 10.5 per cent while that for independents and others is 14 per cent.
Support for the Palmer United Party is up at 6.5 per cent (10.5 per cent in Queensland), while Family First/Christian Democrats are on two per cent and Katter's Australian Party is on one per cent.

In a statement pollster Gary Morgan said the results showed the coalition was set to win a comfortable majority of over 90 seats in the House of Representatives.
"The wild card in this election has turned out to be Clive Palmer and the late surge in support for his Palmer United Party.
"If most of those electors 'vote the PUP card' so preferences flow back to the L-NP, the election will be a '1975 landslide' to the coalition."
