Morrison silent on Home Affairs raid call

Scott Morrison is silent on reports a public servant under investigation for leaking details of the au pair affair called a Labor senator during recent raids.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has declined to comment on reports an Australian Border Force employee phoned a Labor senator during a federal police raid related to Peter Dutton's au pair visa controversy.

The Daily Telegraph reports the public servant - who is under investigation for leaking details of the European nanny scandal - called Senator Louise Pratt when officers arrived to seize documents from the Home Affairs Department in Canberra.

"It's an independent police investigation and I'll leave it for the police to do that independently of government, which is the appropriate process," Mr Morrison told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday.
