Prime Minister Scott Morrison continues to visit battleground electorates on his three-day visit to Western Australia after moving to neutralise the key GST issue by promising a legislated 75 cent GST floor.

On his first trip to the state since August's leadership spill, Mr Morrison fronted the media in the seat of Stirling, held by Michael Keenan, who lost the justice portfolio but was handed human services in the ensuing cabinet reshuffle.

It's an electorate considered potentially in peril at next year's federal election, even though Mr Keenan's margin is 6.1 per cent.

Alongside Mr Morrison at the press event was Attorney-General Christian Porter, who holds the seat of Pearce with a slimmer margin of 3.6 per cent.

Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has targeted both seats during his many recent visits.

Other key battlegrounds are Hasluck, held by Ken Wyatt with a margin of just over two per cent, and Swan, held by fellow Liberal Steve Irons with a margin of 3.6 per cent.

Mr Morrison will visit both on Tuesday.

His promised GST legislation, which is expected to be introduced when parliament reconvenes in a fortnight, matched a recent commitment by Mr Shorten.
