Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo have been ranked as the world's most dangerous countries for women by a survey.
The survey, run by a legal branch the Reuters news agency, found extremely high levels of maternal mortality in many nations where women have little access to birth control or education.
DR Congo was labelled the 'rape capital of the world', with data indicating that four women were raped there every five minutes.
Women's rights groups say they are not surprised by the findings.
