Mexican news outlet El Universal has released footage taken of a woman, apparently pleading for help from behind the gates of an immigrant detention centre in Mexico.
The mother reportedly implored bystanders in Spanish to help her and her son, who she said has been suffering for 10 days in captivity.

"They haven’t given us a bit of food. There is no drinkable water," she reportedly begged in Spanish.
"Help me, help me with my son. He is sick. My son is dying."
The woman is reportedly of Haitian descent and is among a number of Haitian migrants being processed at the makeshift facility, Feria Mesoamericana centre in Tapachula.
The unnamed woman told El Universal reporters her son was sick and asked for justice. She said they and other detainees had not been fed or given drinkable water for more than a week.
The release of the video, which has not been independently verified, follows a global reaction to an image of a father and young daughter who drowned seeking asylum in the US.
