Motorbike rider dies in Qld crash

A motorbike rider has died in a crash on the Burnett Highway north of Brisbane.

A motorbike rider has been killed after a four-wheel drive slammed into him from behind on the Burnett Highway north of Brisbane.

Queensland Police say the man in his 50s was riding north with a group on Sunday when the incident occurred at Goomeri.

"As the rider attempted to turn into Boonah Road a four-wheel drive travelling behind the man crashed into the motorcycle," a police spokesperson said in a statement.

The forensic crash unit is investigating.
