Motorcycle accident kills two in Victoria

A motorcycle rider and his passenger have been killed at Essendon in Melbourne.

A motorcycle rider and his pillion passenger have been killed after the bike they were riding hit barriers on a freeway off-ramp in Melbourne's northwest.

Police say the accident happened about 12.30am (AEDT) on Saturday at the Bulla Road exit of the Tullamarine Freeway.

The rider and passenger were both believed to be men aged in their 20s, who died at the scene of the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
