Israel's sustained assault on the Gaza Strip has pushed the Palestinian death toll to beyond 500, whilst at least 27 Israelis - all but two of them soldiers - have died in the offensive.
International medical organisation Medecins Sans Frontieres has called on the Jewish state to stop the bombardment, saying the shelling is making it difficult to provide much needed care to Gazans.

MSF's Gaza coordinator, Audrey Landmann, told Brianna Roberts people are presenting with a wide array of injuries.
