The AFL's match review panel has cleared Shane Mumford for the mammoth hit on Geelong midfielder Mitch Duncan.

The front-on tackle that floored Duncan was not even listed for review in Monday's MRP judgments.

The GWS ruckman's big hit on Duncan during their upset win on Sunday is being hailed as a textbook front-on tackle.

Duncan also did not flinch before the man known as Mummy, who is much bigger, cannoned into him.

The Cats onballer had to be helped from the ground.

No players are facing suspension from the MRP rulings.

North Melbourne defender Shaun Atley can accept a $1000 fine for striking North Melbourne's Pearce Hanley.

St Kilda's Jack Newnes faces the same penalty for rough conduct against livewire Western Bulldogs utility Luke Dahlhaus.

Carlton's Sam Rowe and Zach Tuohy and Sydney trio Luke Parker, Dan Hannebery and Lance Franklin will all be out of pocket $1000 for their contributions to a half-time melee.

The panel cleared Essendon utility Patrick Ambrose of his match-day report for a sling tackle on Melbourne youngster James Harmes.

Richmond received some good news from Friday night's disastrous loss to Collingwood, with Nick Vlastuin cleared for his high bump on Taylor Adams.

And the panel also ruled in favour of fellow Tiger Jacob Townsend, who was booked for high contact with Jackson Ramsay.

The MRP said Townsend was contesting the ball and had no realistic alternative.
