Murder charge over missing Vic teenager

A Victorian man, 28, has been charged with murder over the death of Cayleb Hough, whose body was found in a mineshaft after going missing in December.

A man has been charged with the murder of Melbourne teenager Cayleb Hough, whose body was found in a mine shaft in March after disappearing before Christmas.

A 28-year-old Kawarren man was charged with one count of murder on Saturday and faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Sunday.

He was arrested on Friday.

He was remanded in custody to reappear in court on June 2.

Cayleb's remains were discovered in a shallow mineshaft in the Lerderderg State Park in Bacchus Marsh in March.
