National Australia Bank has followed its big four rivals by raising the rates on several of its fixed-rate home loans.

NAB said it will lift its two-, three- and four-year fixed rates for both owner-occupier and investor home loans from Monday by as much as 0.80 per cent.

"There are a range of factors that influence the funding that NAB - and all Australian banks - source, so we can provide home loans to our customers," said NAB chief operating officer Antony Cahill.

Mr Cahill said the one-year fixed rate was being cut by 0.10 percentage points to 3.89 per cent per annum for owner occupiers, and by 0.15 percentage points to 3.99 per cent for investors.

"We continue to watch market and economic conditions to ensure we continue to lend and manage our business responsibly, so we remain strong and stable for the benefit of our customers, shareholders and the broader economy," Mr Cahill said.

Commonwealth Bank, Westpac and ANZ have all raised rates on some of their fixed-rate mortgages despite the Reserve Bank cash rate remaining at an all-time low.
