She said the wife of Gaddafi's son Hannibal, Alina, poured boiling water on her.

"She took me to a bathroom. She tied my hands behind my back, and tied my feet. She taped my mouth, and she started pouring the boiling water on my head like this," 30-year-old Ethiopian nanny Shwygar Mullah told CNN.

She said her crime was refusing to beat Hannibal's toddler who wouldn't stop crying.

Shwygar said she was actually scalded twice, and that the most recent episode was three months ago.

CNN was unable to verify the claims.
