Supermodel Naomi Campbell will not face punishment for allegedly assaulting her chauffeur, after the driver refused to press criminal charges.
Police said yesterday they wanted the supermodel for questioning in connection with an assault on her chauffeur as they drove through New York.
Yesterday the driver told police he was driving Campbell through east Manhattan in the black Cadillac when she struck him.
The driver then stopped the car and went to speak to a traffic officer at the scene, who called the police.
The driver was treated for a minor injury under his eye and said Miss Campbell had fled the scene on foot, Police spokesman Paul Browne said.

But the chauffeur has now decided against pursuing his complaint and will not be pressing charges against Campbell.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and filed a harassment report on Wednesday after consulting with the district attorney's office, according to the Associated Press.
However, the harassment claim carries no penalty and Campbell is not expected to be arrested.
Campbell already has a record of violent tantrums.
In 2008 she pleaded guilty to assaulting police officers in London's Heathrow Airport. She also pleaded guilty to throwing her cell phone at a maid in New York.
