The Nationals will get a couple of extra ministers, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has confirmed.

"The Nationals have a larger percentage of the coalition partyroom after the election than they did beforehand and the answer to that is yes," he told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday, when asked if the Nationals were entitled to two more ministers.

Mr Turnbull said the details would be announced next week when he reveals the ministry line-up.
