NBA Clippers lose Johnson to back injury

LA Clippers forward Brice Johnson has been ruled out indefinitely due to a back injury suffered in the NBA off-season.

Los Angeles Clippers rookie forward Brice Johnson has suffered a herniated disk in his lower back in the team's NBA pre-season game against the Toronto Raptors and is out indefinitely.

The team said on Saturday Johnson was injured in the fourth quarter of Thursday night's win.

He will continue to be evaluated by the team's medical staff.

Johnson, who played at North Carolina, led the Clippers' entry in the Orlando Pro Summer League in scoring at 15.4 points and rebounding at 6.8.
