NBC, CNN, Fox say Democrats win House

The Democrats will win control of the US House of Representatives while the Republicans will keep control of the Senate, US media outlets have projected.

Democrats have wrested control of the US House of Representatives from President Donald Trump's Republicans, NBC News, CNN and Fox News Channel have projected.

Meanwhile, US media outlets are projecting that the Republicans will retain control of the Senate.

NBC projects the Democrats will hold 229 seats in the House to the Republicans 206, while in the Senate Republicans will hold 50 seats and the democrats 39 with 11 still to be decided.
