The National Disability Insurance Scheme is being rolled out in Victoria.

North-east Melbourne had the first launch on Friday, with 10,000 disabled people, their families and carers expected to become participants and get support in the area over the next year.

The NDIS is expected to be fully operational in Victoria by mid-2019, supporting more than 105,000 people.
