Nebraska and Iowa stocks fall, led by Union Pacific

NEW YORK — Nebraska and Iowa stocks fell Friday, led by Union Pacific and Berkshire Hathaway.

The Bloomberg Nebraska and Iowa Index, a price-weighted list of companies with operations in the region, fell 1.13 to 728.72.

Union Pacific fell 1.15 to 101.16. Berkshire Hathaway fell 1,850.09 to 212,200.00.

In the broader market, the Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 11.48 to 2,109.76. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 101.56 to 18,014.28. The Bloomberg Nebraska and Iowa Index was developed with a base value of 100 as of Dec. 31, 1996.
