Nebraska and Iowa stocks rise, led by Union Pacific

Nebraska and Iowa stocks rose on Tuesday, led by Union Pacific and Valmont Industries.

The Bloomberg Nebraska and Iowa Index, a price-weighted list of companies with operations in the region, rose 13.11 to 719.49.

Union Pacific rose 2.70 to 108.86. Valmont Industries rose 3.52 to 137.48.

Berkshire Hathaway Class A shares rose 2,480.00 to 208,330.00.

In the broader market, the Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 37.27 to 1,941.28. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 215.14 to 16,614.81.
