Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he will use a meeting with US President Barack Obama at the end of the month to try put pressure on Iran over its nuclear programme.
"I intend to focus on stopping the Iranian nuclear programme. Really stopping the nuclear programme," Netanyahu was quoted by Israeli media as having told his cabinet.
Western countries and Israel say they believe Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons, but Iran says it nuclear ambitions are peaceful.
Netanyahu said he would meet with Obama before travelling to New York to address the UN General Assembly.
White House spokesman Jay Carney said the meeting would take place at the White House on September 30.
