New briefing points to SA economic growth

A University of Adelaide briefing is set to reveal some good news for the South Australian economy but also points to risks from the US-China trade row.

Growth in the South Australian economy into 2019 will mirror expected improvements in the national accounts, a new report is set to reveal.

The University of Adelaide's SA Centre for Economic Studies will discuss the local and national outlook at its latest briefing on Wednesday.

Despite the generally rosy forecast, the briefing will point to risks from the anti-trade measures being imposed by the United States and concerns China will falter.

Wednesday's briefing will also include commentary from former federal opposition leader John Hewson who will speak on SA's place in a "challenging global economy".
