New e-waste drop off points before Vic ban

More e-waste drop off points are being rolled out across Victoria ahead of the state's ban of electrical items from kerbside bins.

E-waste drop off points will be rolled out at 42 Officeworks sites across Victoria ahead of a statewide ban on electrical items in kerbside bins.

From July 1, any item with a plug, battery or cord can no longer be put in household bins and will have to be taken to a designated e-waste collection point to ensure safer disposal and recycling.

On top of an existing 1000 collection sites, the Officeworks sites will collect mobile phones, ink cartridges and IT waste items.
