For the first time in its nine-year history, the A-League will be available free-to-air on Friday nights to every home in the country.
In a historic deal, SBS 2 and SBS Radio will live-broadcast a domestic football match every Friday night of the A-League season.
As well as the world-class analysis and coverage fans of football in Australia have come to expect from SBS, the home of football will also provide an entertainment-style program, to air on Thursdays, to attract new fans to the world game.
#ThursdayFC will be hosted by David Zdrillic (@Zdrila), Matt Okine (@mattokine) and Lucy Zelic (@lucyzelic) and will be broadcast on Thursdays on SBS 2 at 8.30pm AEST.
"Every home in Australia can now see live A-League football, live A- League entertainment shows plus highlights - we've got everything, so it's going to be very exciting," said Mr Zdrillic.
The hosts are banking on a blenty of interviews, music and comedy to appeal to more than just football lovers.
"It feels like the beginning of a new level for football in Australia," said Matt Okine.
Watch the premiere of the show tomorrow at 8.30pm on SBS 2.
