New Indigenous TV station launched

A new Indigenous television station has been launched in Australia, Larrakia TV.

Larrakia TV has switched on its digital signal in the greater Darwin region - and is now broadcasting on Channel 41, to around 26 Aboriginal communities.

The station will show locally produced programs, including current affairs, films, documentaries and festivals.

Chief executive Dr Donna Odegaard spoke to NITV about the role of Larrakia TV.
