Days after being appointed Parramatta administrator, Max Donnelly has taken the first step towards turning the Eels around by unveiling the besieged NRL club's new interim board.
It comprises Steve Sherman, Jim Sarantinos - partners of management group Ferrier Hodgson - and Donnelly as chairman.
"The board will seek to appoint an interim CEO to the football club shortly," an Eels statement said.
Donnelly was named on Tuesday as Eels temporary administrator following NSW government intervention in the wake of Parramatta's salary-cap scandals which resulted in them being fined $1 million and docked 12 competition points.
His commission as boss of both the leagues club and the football club was expected to last until the start of the 2017 season.

Donnelly had indicated earlier this week he aimed to split the make-ups of the leagues and football clubs at Parramatta to try to end factionalism.
Previously, the same people had sat on both boards.
He said, ideally, they would have entirely new personnel on both boards so they could "start with a clean slate".
Donnelly confirmed former CEO John Boulous and football manager Daniel Anderson had officially been sacked.
The pair had been suspended since the NRL handed down its provisional salary-cap penalty in early May, however were still being paid $250,000 a year by the club.
But the pair have been dismissed as Donnelly makes his first moves to reverse the Eels' fortunes.
"They were terminated because they couldn't carry out their contracts," Donnelly told News Corp Australia.
"They were being paid, but they weren't able to do anything."
Donnelly said he would also remove the company cars the pair were still using.
The search has begun in earnest to replace Anderson as football manager.
Coach Brad Arthur has been burdened with juggling the football operations throughout the entire cap controversy.
