New nuclear reactors 'to need much less uranium'

The world's nuclear watchdog has been told that new generation nuclear reactors will need much less uranium than those currently in service.

The world's nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, has been told that new generation nuclear reactors will need much less uranium than those currently in service.

The comments came at a symposium on uranium and the nuclear fuel cycle which the IAEA is holding in Vienna.

Central Europe Correspondent Kerry Skyring was at the event and spoke to Zara Zaher.
