New Roo eyes AFL finals after Suns exit

Former Gold Coast midfielder Aaron Hall says the lure of playing AFL finals was a key factor in his decision to seek a trade to North Melbourne.

North Melbourne recruit Aaron Hall is desperate to taste on-field success after seven losing seasons with Gold Coast and is confident the Kangaroos are on the cusp of returning to the finals.

Hall joined his new teammates at pre-season training at Arden St for the first time this week after he was traded by the Suns for a fourth-round pick at last month's trade period.

The 28-year-old is confident he can recapture his best form with the Roos, but will be carefully managed for the next month as he continues rehabilitation on a torn pectoral muscle.
