News Corp is reportedly days away from acquiring the stakes of Nine Entertainment, Seven West Media and Britain's Sky in subscription news channel Sky News.

News Corp is reportedly close to completing a $20-25million deal to take control of subscription news channel Sky News.

The media company is days away from announcing deals with Nine Entertainment, Seven West Media and Britain's Sky to buy their stakes in the Australian News Channel, which owns Sky News, Fairfax Media reports.

News Corp has reportedly been trying to take control of Sky News since the negotiations began two years ago.
