History will be on Jarryd Hayne's side as he attempts to break back into the San Francisco 49ers' 53-man squad.
The NFL unveiled the 49ers' four-game pre-season schedule on Thursday and it is almost a replica of opponents a barnstorming Hayne rampaged through last year.
First up in early August, Hayne and the 49ers will face the Houston Texans.
It was against the Texans in last year's first pre-season game Hayne, in his maiden NFL contest and still getting used to wearing a helmet and pads, made headlines in the US and Australia.
Hayne carved up the Texans with a 53-yard run that, if it was not for a slight stumble, would have likely led to a touchdown.
Hayne followed that up with a slashing 33-yard kick return.
Just like last year, the 49ers will also play the San Diego Chargers and the Super Bowl-winning Denver Broncos in pre-season games in August through to September 1.
Exact dates have not been finalised.
The only difference this year is the 49ers will play the Green Bay Packers instead of the Dallas Cowboys.
Hayne also had a dominant pre-season game against the Cowboys with 54 rushing yards, including a 34-yard run.
Against the Broncos he showed his versatility with an 18-yard reception and backed it up in the final pre-season game against the Chargers by topping the rushing with 58 yards and two receptions for 17 yards.
The 49ers began their 2016-15 off-season program this week under new head coach Chip Kelly.
Kelly will have to cut a 90-man squad down to 53 just before the start of the NFL regular season begins on September 8.
