Liberal National Party leader Tim Nicholls has called on the party to put aside petty squabbles and unite ahead of the upcoming state election.
Mr Nicholls addressed the LNP state conference on Sunday, spruiking his already announced policies that his team would take to the polls.
"Only my LNP team has the plan to create jobs, support small business, invest in education to raise standards and provide better services for families and retirees," Mr Nicholls told the conference.
The opposition leader said there was a "clear choice" for voters, and his party's policies provided a clear difference from not only Labor but also the Greens and One Nation.
He also took the opportunity to again rule out any formal coalition with One Nation.
"We only have to look at Queensland in 1998 and 2001 and more recently to Western Australia - especially where One Nation is involved," he said.
"The history lesson is there: voting for a minor party will lead to another do-nothing Labor government."
Despite the calls for unity, Mr Nicholls also made clear that the election would be fought on state issues, and that federal issues would not affect voters.
"Let's not be distracted; we must remain focused on the issues and concerns deep in the hearts and uppermost in the minds of our fellow Queenslanders.
"But I'll say one thing about the national capital. My team and I don't - and we won't - take our riding instructions from Canberra."
The Queensland election is due by May next year but could be held by November this year.
