Amnesty International says authorities in Nigeria must take urgent measures to protect schools and students in the north-east of the country after Sunday's deadly attack on an agricultural college.
Suspected Islamist militants burst into the college compound in Yobe state killing 40 people -- although Amnesty says the figure could be as high as 62.
Amnesty International's Africa deputy director, Lucy Freeman, says there's been an escalation of lethal attacks against students and schools, but no real effort to investigate.
Ms Freeman told Kerri Worthington the attacks were likely carried out by Boko Haram, although they haven't claimed responsibility.
