Nine Entertainment is in talks with the Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) and Fox Sports about a change to its broadcast rights.

Media speculation on Thursday suggested the NRL is set to announce an agreement with Fox Sports that will net the code $175 million for the rights to broadcast Saturday night matches.

Nine says it is in discussions with the ARLC and Fox Sports about a potential variation to NEC's rights to broadcast NRL matches.

"No agreement has been reached on any transaction," Nine said. "Should an agreement be reached, NEC will make an appropriate announcement to the market in accordance with its disclosure obligations."
