Lawyer David Galbally says it should help the AFL better understand modern issues affecting sportspeople, such as drug use and the taking of photos with electronic equipment.
Nixon was investigated over his relationship with Kim Duthie, the teenage girl at the centre of the St Kilda nude photos scandal, which embarrassed several of the players Nixon manages.
Nixon's future in the game will be decided at a meeting at 2.30pm (AEDT) Thursday.

"These are massive issues in our community that we need to address and look at," Galbally told Melbourne's MTR radio.
"Both from the point of view of being able to control behaviour and monitor behaviour and to provide mechanisms to protect our young people."
The AFL Players' Association's agent accreditation board will meet on Thursday and board chairman Ian Prendergast and AFLPA chief executive Matt Finnis will announce the outcome later in the day.
It could result in Nixon being stripped of the right to represent AFL players.
Galbally delivered his report to the AFLPA on Wednesday.
He said he had initially hoped to have it ready last week, but had to examine much more material than he expected.
Nixon, 47, last week admitted himself to a rehabilitation clinic, acknowledged he had a substance abuse problem and stepped down indefinitely from player management.
