Documents claim former Victorian police chief commissioner Christine Nixon deliberately misled the Bushfires Royal Commission in regards to her whereabouts on Black Saturday, the Herald Sun reports.
The newspaper reports lawyers acting for the royal commission don't believe Ms Nixon, now in charge of the bushfire recovery program, forgot she was out to dinner on the Black Saturday.
A draft submission of counsel assisting the commission, Jack Rush QC, says Ms Nixon's evidence on the first occasion was incorrect and calculated to mislead.

The draft submission says the omission was not affected by poor memory, but was deliberate and calculated to leave the impression she had monitored the fires continuously via the media, phone, radio, internet, and TV.
Ms Nixon's office has told the newspaper she will strenuously defend any allegations put to the commission.
Mr Rush's submission will be handed to the royal commission on Thursday.
