The AFL tribunal won't sit on Tuesday night after Port Adelaide star Paddy Ryder accepted a one-match ban for striking and four other players accepted fines.

The Power will now be without their lead ruckman for Saturday's key clash against Greater Western Sydney in Canberra.

Ryder was charged with striking after an off-the-ball clash with Adelaide's Riley Knight and risked a two-game ban if he took his case to the tribunal.

Knight was floored with just over two minutes left to play in the fiery local derby won by Don Pyke's side and indicated to a trainer he had been hit in the jaw.

Ryder, playing his third game back from a year-long doping ban, starred with 48 hitouts and will be sorely missed against the Giants who have bounced back into form with two big wins in the past fortnight.

GWS enjoyed better fortunes with their lead ruckman Shane Mumford, who accepted a $1000 fine for engaging in rough conduct with North Melbourne's Taylor Garner.

The Roos' Kayne Turner also accepted a fine for engaging in rough conduct with Ryan Griffen, with Adelaide's Charlie Cameron and Gold Coast midfielder Jarryd Lyons accepting fines.
