Chris Lynn won't be contracted to Queensland next season as the T20 gun for hire eyes new targets.
The Brisbane Heat captain and Big Bash's most prolific six-hitter was a late addition to the Queensland contract list last season.
He will remain off the books in 2019/20, although remains part of Queensland's 50-over plans after leading the competition's run charts last season.
Lynn could still play in the Sheffield Shield for Queensland, although his T20 pursuits and persistent shoulder injuries has seen his focus shift to short form cricket in recent seasons.
The 29-year-old is coming off a productive IPL campaign for Kolkata Knight Riders and is set to feature in the Global T20 Canada League and Euro T20 Slam, to be co-hosted by Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands in September.
Lynn topped the charts in last season's domestic one-day competition, hitting 452 runs at 75.33 with two centuries.
"Chris is very much in our thinking for our one-day set-up in light of his performances last summer and we will work closely with him in the lead-up to the season once again,'' Queensland coach Wade Seccombe said.
Fast bowler Alister McDermott, 27, is the only new face on Queensland's contracted list after a three-year absence.
The son of former Test quick Craig made his Queensland debut as a 17-year-old and has forced his way back into the mix with good club and Queensland second XI form last season.
