It seems someone fed up with interstate bidders pushing up house prices has started placing “No Californians” stickers on For Sale signs in the US city of Portland in Oregon State.
A number of agents have found the stickers, which show a picture of the state of California with a red stripe through it, attached to their For Sale signs.

Agent Quinn Irvine from M Realty said he believed it was in response to price bidding wars pushing sale prices over the reserve.
"A lot of these homes are going into bidding wars and going over asking price, and a lot of these guys are getting outbid. And I think they're going around to agents who have properties that have sold over the asking price and putting anti-California stickers,” he told The Oregonian.

Agents have said there are a lot of out of state buyers coming into the local market and that many are from California.
"I'm dealing with a couple of San Francisco buyers, one guy's cash," Mr Irvine said.
Agent Lori Fenwick said the stickers are a nuisance for sellers.
"People think that our signs magically appear," she said. "But they don't. We pay money for them, and it's none of their business to be putting stickers on them."
