No change to budget day: Cormann

The federal budget will be handed down on May 10 as scheduled.

Finance Minister Mathias Cormann dismissed a Fairfax Media report which suggested an earlier date had been floated among senior members of the Turnbull government.

He told the Senate on Monday the treasurer would deliver the budget on the second Tuesday of May, a date scheduled since November.
