Virgin Australia says it is too early to say whether it will pull its order of 30 Boeing 737 Max aircraft following the Ethiopian Airlines crash that killed 157 people.
Boeing said it is closely watching the situation and monitoring any updates from Boeing and crash investigators into the cause of the accident.
"There are currently no Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in our fleet and it is too early for us to make comment on our order," Virgin Australia said in a statement on its website.
"With our first aircraft delivery not due until November this year, we believe there is sufficient time to consider the outcome of the investigation and make an assessment."
Virgin Australia added that it would continue to work with Boeing and relevant authorities as more information becomes available.
Sunday's Ethiopian Airways crash was the second involving the new 737 Max in the past five months.
