No jab, no play in Vic childcare, kindy

Kids who aren't fully vaccinated will no longer be allowed to go to childcare or kindergarten in Victoria under a proposal by the state government.

The proposed law will close a loophole that makes an exemption for parents who choose not to vaccinate their children on the grounds they are conscientious objectors.

"The science is clear - vaccinations save lives and we want parents to vaccinate their children unless there is a medical reason not to," Health Minister Jill Hennessy said on Sunday.
