The Australian arm of one of China's biggest property developers says it has found no evidence of payments being made to disgraced NSW MP Daryl Maguire.
Country Garden Australia issued a statement on Friday, a week after Mr Maguire quit the Liberal party and resigned as a parliamentary secretary following his evidence at an Independent Commission Against Corruption inquiry.
The Wagga Wagga MP was secretly recorded telling a local councillor he had a client with "mega money" interested in a development site in Canterbury and was seeking a "dividend" from the potential sale.
While he admitted he'd become "great friends" with Country Garden's Australian chief executive, "sought to assist" them in buying sites in Australia, and suggested they pay a retainer for his services, he denied he was an agent for the developer.
Country Garden Australia said it had investigated the matter and "has found nothing to support any suggestion that former or current CGA employees entered into any arrangements or agreements with Mr Maguire, nor made any payment to Mr Maguire."

"Additionally, CGA has not acquired any land in the Canterbury Council region."
The company said it takes any suggestion of misconduct or impropriety extremely seriously.
"The Country Garden Group has a 'zero tolerance' policy towards misconduct across its regional operations around the world."
Country Garden Holdings was this week ranked 353rd on the Fortune Global 500 list for 2018, up 114 places from 2017.
It grossed more than $US33.6 billion ($A45.7 billion) last year, a jump of nearly 50 per cent.
Mr Maguire is under pressure to quit politics, with Acting NSW Premier and NSW Nationals leader John Barilaro joining calls for him to leave.
Labor has promised to move to expel him if he doesn't quit before parliament resumes on August 7.
The now-independent MP has taken leave to be with his family following the death of his son-in-law after a short illness.
