Police haven't found any trace of the deadly synthetic drug 'N-Bomb' as part of raids which netted more than a million dollars worth of illegal substances ahead of annual schoolies celebrations.
During the week, officers carried out 35 raids from Mackay to the Gold Coast, seizing $1.25 million worth of drugs, mostly cannabis with some MDMA and ice.
So far 46 people have been charged with a 164 drug offences, including three for drug production and eight for trafficking.
Detective Inspector Mark Slater of the State Drug Squad told reporters in Brisbane they didn't conduct the raids specifically because of upcoming schoolies events but were glad the drugs were out of the market.
"We're not indicating in any way, shape or form that these drugs were destined for schoolies but at this point any enforcement action that we take certainly limits that possibility," Insp Slater said.
Police also confirmed no synthetic drugs were found, including the notorious "N-Bomb" which had been linked to the death of Victorian footballer Riki Stephens.
"There's no indication of the supply of 'N-Bomb' at this point. However that's not to say it won't happen down the track and we certainly keep our eye out for that particular drug," Insp Slater said.
Mr Stephens died after taking a combination of MDMA and N-Bomb, a synthetic form of LSD, while on an end-of-season football trip on the Gold Coast last month.

He was one of several people hospitalised after a mass overdose.
Investigations were continuing following the raids this week and further arrests were expected.
