No talk of records from in-form Black Caps

The Black Caps are one win from a historic 11-game winning run in all formats but haven't discussed it ahead of Tuesday's ODI against Pakistan.

New Zealand cricket stalwart Ross Taylor insists records haven't been on the team's pre-match agenda despite sitting just one win short of a historic winning streak.

Taylor's Kiwis have won 10 successive matches in all formats, having wiped the floor with both the West Indies and Pakistan to date this summer.

A victory against the struggling Pakistan in Tuesday's one-day international in Hamilton - who mustered just 74 runs in their third ODI loss last weekend - would hand them a record-breaking 11.

It would also put them 4-0 up in the five ODI series, with a final ODI to be played in Wellington before a three-match Twenty20 series.

"You've just got to play what's in front of you and not look too far ahead," Taylor, who will play his 200th ODI said.

"A different surface once again - we know Pakistan's weaknesses and strengths, and the team's high on confidence and hopefully we can continue that.

"But we know Pakistan is a proud nation and will come hard."

Kiwi coach Mike Hesson also wasn't getting too far ahead of himself.

Hesson said the Pakistanis would be much improved after last Saturday's batting debacle, and demanded his team keep their feet on the ground.

"We don't get too overawed if we lose a few games and, if we're on a roll, we don't drop our guard," Hesson told reporters.

"We're very clear on how we operate pre-game."

All-rounder Colin de Grandhomme could be in line for an international return after five weeks on bereavement leave.

He is yet to play an ODI or Twenty20 international this Kiwi summer.
