'No, thanks', Rudd says on politics return

Kevin Rudd has said 'no thank you' to a return to Australian politics while being asked by supporters during a live social media talk.

From the comfort of his New York apartment, Kevin Rudd has said "no, thank you" to a return to Australian politics.

The former prime minister was repeatedly asked whether he would want to come back to federal politics as he took wide-ranging questions on Facebook.

"No, thank you. There's only a limit to how much scar tissue you can acquire in this business," he said on Wednesday (AEDT).
