Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma is adamant the ongoing contract dramas surrounding the NRL club's big names won't influence his decision about his future.
While much speculation surrounds the negotiations of Mitchell Moses, James Tedesco and Aaron Woods, Nofoaluma is one of a number of Tigers also to due to come off the books at season's end.
Despite being linked with Parramatta, the in-form flyer revealed on Tuesday he is close to joining halfback Luke Brooks in re-committing to the black and gold on a long-term deal.
"Me and my manager are in talks with the club," the 23-year-old said.
"They're coming close to sorting out a deal but nothing's been sealed yet.
"I'm sure my manager will sort that out."
Pressed on whether he would wait until the remaining members of the Tigers' so-called big four finalised their contracts, Nofoaluma said his only focus was his own career.
"I'm there to put my best performance in for the team and that's my thinking," he said.
"Whatever's going on behind closed doors, I block that out and focus on myself."
Nofoaluma has been, arguably, the Tigers' best over a drama-filled opening six rounds of the competition, leading the league in offloads and ranking fifth in running metres.
He credited his impressive start to simply enjoying the game.
"Obviously just wanting to be a better player, (and) I'm really loving the game and enjoying every moment," he said.
"It's just putting in all those extra efforts."
The re-signing of Nofoaluma would be a huge boost for the Tigers, who have most of their first grade squad off-contract at the end of the year, including Moses, Tedesco and Woods.
It is widely tipped that Moses will join Parramatta after the Easter Monday clash, while Tedesco revealed last week he is being courted by Canterbury and the Sydney Roosters.
Matt Ballin, Tim Grant, Kyle Lovett, Kevin Naiqama, Jamal Idris and Ava Seumanufagai are also off-contract at season's end.
Nofoaluma said Moses addressed the group, prior to last week's surprise win over North Queensland, to guarantee his focus remains on the club whilst he remains contracted.
"He approached that in a great fashion and the boys took that on board," Nofoaluma said. "He's still with the club.
"He knows he's still got a job to finish off the year.
"He's putting in every effort this week and I think he's going to finish off strong."
