Northern Star eyes output, growth targets

Northern Star says improved performance and exploration success at its Jundee operation in Western Australia will help it hit expansion and growth targets.

Gold miner Northern Star Resources says it is on track to meet its output and growth targets for the current financial year.

The company says it produced 124,871 ounces of gold in the December quarter, reflecting the improved performance of its Jundee mill in Western Australia, keeping it on target to produce 485,000 to 515,000 ounces in the 2017 financial year.

Northern Star said strong exploration successes at its Jundee and Kalgoorlie operations meant that it was also poised to lift its production to 600,000 ounces next financial year.
