Firefighters are preparing for another "testing" day as winds continue to fan dozens of out-of-control fires across NSW.
Strong gusts early on Monday morning whipped up a blaze at Buccarumbi, southwest of Grafton, pushing it towards a small number of properties in the area.
It has already razed 474 hectares.
"Crews are positioned with the properties, but that fire continues to grow and it will do across the day as we start to see the winds pick up," NSW Rural Fire Service's Ben Shepherd told the ABC.
Almost 75 fires continue to burn around the state, 30 of which remain uncontained.

Crews have managed to gain the upper hand on major fires near Lennox Head and Salt Ash, north of Newcastle, and another near Bega.
But with strong winds forecast to continue until Wednesday, there are fears the blazes will flare up and threaten homes again.
"It will be another potentially testing day," Mr Shepherd said.
"We've got a lot of work to do and with no real rainfall on the forecasts, we have the potential for some of the fires to run for days, if not weeks."
Nearly 20 buildings, mostly outbuildings, have been destroyed by fires since late last week.
In that time, two people were charged with lighting fires in the north of the state while helicopter pilot Allan Tull died while conducting aerial water-bombing on a blaze near Ulladulla.
Meanwhile, a severe weather warning for damaging surf has been issued for most of the NSW coast - from Kempsey down to the Victorian border.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting large southerly waves on Wednesday, but the threat of damaging winds has eased.
