A doctor from the northern NSW town of Lismore has been accused of sexually and indecently assaulting three women.

The 61-year-old man was arrested at his medical clinic on Wednesday, and charged with four counts of aggravated indecent assault, police said.

In March a 21-year-old woman reported that she'd been sexually assaulted during a specialist appointment and further investigations revealed two other women had also allegedly been indecently assaulted, police said.

The doctor has been granted conditional bail and is due to face the local court later in the month.
