NSW could be headed for a minority government after polling revealed the race for the state election has tightened over controversial key issues.

The coalition and Labor are deadlocked at 50-50 on a two-party preferred basis less than two weeks out from the state election, according to a Newspoll published by the Australian on Tuesday.

Another poll, commissioned by the Sydney Morning Herald, found close to 58 per cent of voters would be swayed by the issue of climate change when casting their ballot. It had Labor ahead 51-49.

The issue dominated Tuesday's campaign for both Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Labor leader Michael Daley.

Ms Berejiklian said the coalition were best poised to strike the right balance between emissions and energy resilience while Mr Daley pointed out Prime Minister Scott Morrison was widely known for brandishing a lump of coal around federal parliament.

The government's controversial plan to demolish Sydney's Allianz Stadium has also proved to be a central issue in the election with Labor keen to question whether it's a wise use of public money.
The Liberal Party have still yet to release their conclusion on whether treasurer Dominic Perrottet's properly disclosed a $2300 donation from his former employer Henry Davis York law firm.

Mr Perrottet on Tuesday again defended his actions saying the donation would be disclosed in due course if proper procedure had not been followed.
