Khaled Sukkarieh from the Islamic Council of New South Wales says Muslim communities in Australia reject the violence seen at protests in Sydney this weekend.
“As Muslims we do not accept, and we do not condone any form of violence under the name of Islam,” he told SBS World News Australia.
“At the end of the day, the Freedom of speech should not be to insult religions, should not be to incite hatred, should not be to insult prophets or the belief of someone,” Sukkarieh said.
